Wolf Eyes & John Wiese — Equinox
But at about the half way point the slow sliding sound elements stop. Then things start up again in a few seconds, the air and the tact of track has very much changed. We’re meet by a granting and building wall of sound, like the pained scream of some alien beast amped up and looped, they stretch more sinister and nasty tone from the initially sound, you can just about make what once might have been vocals reshaped into primal growls, set about by baying twisted high pitch vulture tones. But just as you think things are really going to get nasty it settles back down for a few moments, before ripples of phrase like sound ripple past like giant worms bring more high pitched sound in there wake, or like terrodactil’s calling from the dead sky above.
It drifts back down into more atmospheric and eerier tones, almost falling apart all together the swirls of pitch just holding, like watching bloody feathers float to the ground, really very horrify haunting air, again it fades the tones swim off into the silence once more. To be met once more by a new brooding and growing electro purring sound, but it still stay psychotic settled just rock back and forth in the Connor of the audio field. And as the track draws to a icy close at the 44 minute mark, it just seems to drift out of you vision instead of stopping
Track two ushers in with four minutes of silence, then fireworks been let off , it seems to be bizarrely enough sound footage of wolf eyes watching fireworks and dicking around talking about the fireworks. Not really very interesting but hell you got near on 50 mins of a great first track, we can let them mess about for quarter of an hour, and not feel too hard done by.
Another enjoyable and mainly subdued audio adventure from Wiese and Wolf eyes. Be now nice to see someone re- releases the other tow collaborations now, which were only pressed in tiny numbers.
