Whore's Breath — Untitled050426
Here’s a new twenty-five-minute wall from Cincinnati’s Whore’s Breath. And as we’ve come to expect from the project, it’s another creative take on the form- mixing rewarding textual detail with atmospheric unease.
This digital-only release features a picture of some murky/dark-looking mucus or stripped-back fat. A simple yet effective bit of imagery.
The single track mixes together a detailed map of pared back rubbing jitter, liquid like rattle & scrapes, and what sounds like distant rain. Together, these elements create a feeling of trying to crawl through some vast, often narrow, networks of decaying pipes, dripping roofs, and half-flooded crawl spaces. The whole structure of the ‘wall’ remains relatively set, though from time to time we get some rewarding extra textural detail/ slight shifts in the tracks' network of texture
Once again, Untitled050426 is a wonderful example of this project's true wall noise artistry. With a creative selection of textures, composed in a rewarding and decidedly atmospheric manner.
