The wait is over, you die-hard Weezer fans have something to digest again. A new Weezer album is finally out. The titleless third album is embraced by the fans as "The Green Album" already.

After previous record Pinkerton was released Weezer got pushed back in the fridge. Main composer Rivers Cuomo got back to school and the rest of the band played in several side-projects. A year long Rivers wrote new songs and this album is the endresult. 28 and a half minutes of music packaged in 10 catchy rock songs.

The album has a couple of outstanding songs like 'Island In The Sun', 'Crab', 'Smile' and single 'Hash Pipe'. Now don't get me wrong, all other songs are just as catchy but I just can't feel the emotion in some songs. As if Rivers played it on auto-pilot and didn't care about the endresult. That's really to bad since if these songs are played with a bit more passion this album could be one of the highlights of the year.

So in conclusion I like this album, but it gives me contradicting emotions too. As if Rivers had something better to do after the recordings and with his thoughts on something else he recorded these 10 tracks. The album is good, but it could be even better!
