Vomir — Enragement Contraint
“Enragement Contraint” finds the black bag wearing French master of HNW offering up just over an hour worth of un-relenting, crude & suffocating walled noise.
This CDR was released in mid February 2012, and the disc comes in the standard Muzikaal Kabaal house style of a slim line & small DVD case. The black & white picture on the front cover is of a elderly man lying down, straining with leather straps on his arms. This was appeared in a edition of 20 copies- so you might still be able to pick a copy up of this.
The ‘wall’ on offer here is fairly familiar/typical slice of what Vomir does best- enclosing, crude & completely un-stoppable HNW. The hour & eight minute track is built around a rapid/ galloping muffled low-end matt of roasting drone, which is weaved with maybe there or four cluttering ‘n’ jittering sub-tones. The Frenchman then forces these textures into a smothering & truly all engulfing ‘wall’ of bleak & intense noise where there is zero-hope or any rest bite .
So “Enragement Constraint” isn’t taking the HNW form to somewhere different, or reinventing wall noise wheel- but it is offering up a truly intense & inescapable mass of thick noise
