The Rita & V/a — Total Slitting of Throats
Original released on McKinley’s Militant Walls lable in a cdr edition of 100, now reissued in a rather fetching card sleeve case with Giallo influenced cover artwork on the Troniks lable. If you’ve come across any of The Rita's recent work you’ll now pretty much what to expect, this is gruelling mass of enclosing 'wall noise' , there are shifts and slight sea changes in sounds as new elements are hammered in but it occurs at a deep level, there’s no great thematic or textural changes here. This just grabs you and pins you down from the out set letting you up an hour or latter your ears still ring and feeling drained, yet oddly invigorated. Mr Mckinlay once again produces a very rewarding and brutal unforgiving trip, proving once more he makes some of most dense and nasty ‘wall noise’ around, that is somehow also very appeal to lose ones self in.
One for your more seasoned noise head's or those looking for total sound emersion in dense unforgiving noise craft, literal blowing away the world around ones self.
