Static Mantra — Untitled
The just shy of seventy minute ‘wall’ on offer here is a tight & taut mixture juddering ‘n’ stabbing textural roasting that are weaved with these smaller regimented darting static tonalities. At times it almost sounds like the ‘wall’ is doing almost a slow ‘n’ tight textured waltz as the tones mesh together into impenetrable yet moorish ‘wall’ of noise. It’s been a good year & a half since I’ve reviewed anything by this project, and I must say I’m very taken by the taut yet entrancing 'wall' that’s on offer here. I’ve meditated for many years now, but I’m sure this would be highly rewarding as a brutal yet trance inducing sonic focus for ones meditation.
So if you dig dense, detailed & entrancing walled noise that leans more towards the roasting & fixed static texturing side of things this is well worth picking up.
