Spietate Agonie & Rumonoise — Split

Here’s a rather roughshod, seared, and crudely cluttered wall noise split, bringing together two Italian projects. There’s Cuneo’s Spietate Agonie, and Turin’s Rumonoise- with each severing up a thirty-minute ‘wall’

This is a digital release on Stemms Audio, which is run by Cincinnati, Ohio’s David Hilshorst- who is behind the excellent wall noise project Whore’s Breath. Cover artwork-wise, we have the two projects' names on top of scuffed/ worn grey floor.

First up, there’s Spietate Agonie with “Golden”. This ‘wall’ is an extremely taut & tense affair, bringing together a throbbing ‘n’ buzzing bass, with rattling and searing grit. The whole thing nicely presses on your ears, with the bass peeling back your sonic nerve, with the grit detail having a rewarding insect-feasting-like quality.

Second, we have “RNS2605060100” from Rumonoise. Here we find a mix of rumbling ‘n’ rattling bass & hacking ‘n’ cluttering mids- static baying & jittering sub tones. The ‘wall’ feels akin to watching something hulking & metal-based being steadily bent, bowed, and crunched up in one of those industrial shredders. There’s a neat, almost 3d quality to the whole- roughshod, yet subtly detail been rather captivating

All in all, this is a decent split, with both parties serving up searing-yet engaging wall craft.
