Slow listener — He is a lost soul as ever there was
On offer are three untitled tracks with the first track hitting the twenty minute mark and the other two around the 10 minute mark a piece. Each track is built around a selection of simple if highly effective grim purr sor morose droning pitchers of guitar that are stretched and pulled out through effects peddles. I guess you could compared it to a less dense and sophisticated take on Birchville Cat Motel mixed with lo-fi early Tangerine Dream dread. But this mangers to build it’s own slow falling nightmare identity that you’ll find your self getting hopeless lost with in, the drab tones of the album blossomiing around you like a dammed and suffocating grey flower.
This is the third release by this one man uk based project & I’ll have to say I’m very impressed by the hypnotic barren and grim air he mangers to produces over the albums three tracks. Slow listener is certainly a name worth watching very closely if you enjoy drone feed guitar scapes
