Saw-Scaled Dancer — Lynchian Injury

Lynchian Injury is an hour-long slab of staring-into-the-void wall noise from this relatively new Oregon-based project. The single track is a simple yet effective blend of rolling drone-heavy bleakness, with a thin crackling static edge.

For cover art, we get a murky/ contrast heavy picture of seemingly a faceless person in a suit- again, simply yet darkly effective bit of art- very much a nod towards the endless tunnelling darkness of the ‘wall’ itself

Going from Saw-Scaled Dancer Bandcamp, the project's been active since May of this year- releasing two other albums to date- like this one, seemingly as both digital and physical releases.

The single track featured here is “The Yellow Man”. The dead-on hour-long ‘wall’ brings together a bleakly bassy, endlessly drilling, and grimly tunnelling drone, with a corona of light crackling & hissing static. The whole thing feels like a rapid journey through a totally lightless and endless tunnel, with the chilled/ dank air pressing against your skin. And you get the feeling that something just beyond the tracks in the thick murk is watching you with dark, unblinking eyes.

So Lynchian Injury is a rewarding drop into wall noise blackout- deep, dark, and completely hopeless.
