RRR — Flesh Control
The black & white labelled CDR comes on double sided cd sized sleeve. On the outside glossy cover we get a picture of a distressed women with duct tape over her eyes. And on the un-glossy reverse we get a picture of a women pointing a gun at the camera.
The 40.26 minute wall is based around two key textures- we have a muffled, murky, and muddy low-end rapid rumble. And a mid-to- semi high pitched jittering. The low end rumble is fairly firm in it’s focus through-out the track. While the jittering shifts from tense yet wider spread battering's, onto more seared, dense & rapidly hammering down-attacks. All this creates an appealing yet ear & head scalding wall-noise ride
The past wall work I’ve heard from this project has often been quite firm & fixed, so it’s interesting to hear it doing something slightly more caustically active HNW. And on the whole I’d say this is a effective mid-length wall that fits the sleazed & violent themes of the release.
