[Required Rate of Return — 2015]
Reviewed 27 November 2015by Roger Batty
Here we have the 3rd & final part of RRR’s Body Connection series, and as with the other parts we get a single mid length slab of fixed ‘n’ raging walled noise. Once again the release comes in the form of a CDR, which comes in the house style Required Rate of Return thin DVD case that features grim yet minimal black & white artwork.

The single track comes in at just under the 33 minute mark, and I must say I enjoyed more than part 2 of this series- which felt just was a little too run-of-the-mill.  And while this track is far from reinventing- the- wheel, or particularly fresh- it’s effective in its face-ripping & body-pining brutally.  The ‘wall’ is of a fairly rapid & battering  variety, and brings together a searing/ brisk deep billow & a taut scuttling judder- these elements are fed together to create a simple yet rewarding bit of walled brutality.

So in summing I’d say this is my second favourite release of this trilogy (after part 1 Body Connection, which saw a mix of taut buzzing/grim synth drone, with wall noise).  And it’s certainly worthy of your time if after some brutal & no-nonsense French HNW.
