RDKPL — Bouf Noise Wall
Bouf Noise Wall finds this prolific Czech project presenting us with three ten-minute walls, all of which take a distinctly industrial twist on the genre.
This digital release appears on Scranton, South Carolina’s Dying Monothlic HNW. For the cover art, we have a simple-yet- effective enough monochrome picture of snow-covered rocks, all of a similar size/ shape.
We open with “260617_03”; here we find a taut weave of rattling, dragging, and lowly whistling textures- which are tied together to create the feel of a rather erratic buffing & scraping bit of machinery.
Next is “260617_04 “ this brings together an uneven and decidedly ominous sounding stirring/ billow- with distant knocks, jitters, and hisses. This sounds like some half human/ half mechanical thing slowly dragging its way towards you, both with flesh and rusting steel limbs
Finally we have “260617_05” where we have a rolling static rattle & droning billow edged with moments of bassy/ roasting dwell. Mental picture-wise, I’m getting images of a windswept platform- where steady flame burns off into the crisp night air, and where machines steadily drone below.
Bouf Noise Wall features three distinctive/ atmospherically tooled walls with a rather industrial air about them. Each is great & very well realised, making for a very consistent release from RDKPL.
