La Terreur HNW presents us with two around eighteen-minute slabs of battering & brutalising walled noise from this highly prolific project from Bordeaux, France.

The cover art for this digital release features comic book illustrations of open mouth/ ready to attack shark, and each of these tracks comes on like a full-on sonic attack- razor teeth grinding ‘n’ tearing your head apart.

So first up we have “La Terreur HNW I “. Here we find a constantly churning maelstrom of bass tone, which is piled on by rolling, slightly gritty mids. It all very much feels like you are slowly being ground up or swallowed by something huge, with the billowing sub-tones very much suggesting battering sea lashings.

“La Terreur HNW II” blends taut droning and full low end, with constant gritty descent & crisp jittering. This track feels more akin to watching a huge dentist drill boring in & into the car-sized tooth of a monster, with the splinters of teeth & vile saliva flow being constant.

La Terreur HNW certainly seems to be very much nodding back towards classic/ set/ old school wall noise- and it’s great to see the shark once more connected with the genre again. Both walls really are totally unforgiving attacks on one's sonic sensors.
