Phantom Rib — Untitled(Infinity series Part 6)
The single untitled track comes in at just under the 42 minute mark, and it’s built around a very tense & taut mixture of static textured patterns which Nowacki forces into a regimented & un-breaking map of sound. When I first heard the track it rather brought to mind a more detailed, dense & unrelenting take on the type of static based composition raster noton (German Minimal Electronica label) releases. But the track just skims & mainly misers defined rhythmic connects, and it’s also alot more constructing & airless than raster noton's work. The tracks main structure is made up of a constantly juddering & mid-tone static tones which are surrounded by smaller jittering and jumping static tonalities. Though out the tracks full lenght Nowacki keeps all the textures locked together in a very moorish & firm state, and if you let your self you really do drift off into the taunt glitching patterns he creates here.
So something a little different & less HNW ambient based from the Infinity series. Phantom Rib’s - 'Untitled' is another great addition to this great series, and I very much look forward to hearing what Nowacki does next with this new project, as it’s quite different to his other two projects Boar & Centuries Behind A Gate.
