Olion — The Internet Hate Machine Marches On, Relentless and Ever Vigilant
Here’s a recent release from Polish wall noise project Olion, which shows a harsher/ more bleakly choppy side to their sound. The single track comes in at dead on the thirty-minute mark. This is a self-released digital affair.
The single track is entitled “The Fragility of the Human Body”. The ‘wall’ mixes together mid-paced knock ‘n’ rumble with constantly churning static grit, with cluttering & thickly bubbling sub-tone detail. The whole thing feels akin to one's body being slowly fed into the steady, choppy & churning roll of a cement mixing tunnel.
There’s a nice sense of feeling of both separation & detail to the textures and patterns presented- meaning it pulls you in from the off & keeps you held there throughout its half-an-hour runtime.
The Internet Hate Machine Marches On, Relentless and Ever Vigilant is another rewarding slice of walling from Olion. And it’s nice to see the project's harsher side coming to the fore with this release.
