Nothingdreamer — Latrodectus Mactans
Latrodectus Mactans is a thirty-three-minute slab of grinding, rumbling, and shunting walled noise from this Russian project. As with all of this projects work- it’s themed around a form of spider- this is the subject Latrodectus Mactans, aka the black Widow, or Shoe Button Spider. It’s native to North America and is venomous.
This digital-only release appears on HNW Net-label, which is, of course, curated by long-term wall scenester James Sherman.
The single track comes in at the thirty-three-minute and thirty-four-second mark. The ‘wall’ is built around a very dense/ low -end focused selection of textures- there's a constant rumble, a rolling grind, and a crispy shunt. These elements are brought together in a rapid & unstoppable mix, with you well and truly feeling engulfed & overwhelmed by the weight & thickness of the whole thing. I guess it feels akin to being wrapped in a very thick mesh of cobweb- with your eyes half closed, your limbs tight to your body, and your lungs barely moving
If you are after truly suffocating ‘n’ crushing walled noise, then Latrodectus Mactans, will most certainly appeal.
