One-way Ticket to Candyland  pumps out a manic and strange melding of jagged hardcore meets overloaded lo-fi synth and wavering gone wrong synth drum patterns; with the odd drifts no less strange, un-nerving  and sickly ambient dwells and ebbs

To make the albums strange, manic and bizarre landscape the two piece use a mixture of : guitar, overloaded and amped up keyboards, live drums and often run-away drum machine programming. From the first track It burns twice, the pair literal grab you by the collar and pull into  Candyland’s demented and other world as live and electronic drums jack-knife into you and synth's roar 'n' tear into your head with manic yet memorable glee and the guitar trails spark and drone around it all.  Really much of the album is an constant and deranged overload; feeling like a sugar high meets a speed overload head on with most of the tracks jerking and throwing you around in deranged yet often memorable and body slamming manner. It only really lets up the manic place later on in the album at the  beginning of the track Shitman which drifts into sonic view with spacey yet slightly unhinged guitar/ synth meet’s 50’s scfi drones and ebbs. But the track soon kicks back in  jerking synth wonder and electro drums meets live percussive crashing like a gone wrong and overloaded Yellow track.

The albums strange, bizarre and jarring wonder is really added to by the superbly un-nerving and weird cover picture of two odd spread-out face masks. Simply put One-way Ticket to Candyland  is one hell of a strange, jarring and additive ride that you want to strap into again and again.
