MDS — Remeber

Remember is a half-hour wall that retains a punishing and thick presence. The MDS( Most Dangerous Soldier) is one of the more recent projects of Leeds-based Peter Beswick( Carrion, Meanwood Beck, Utterblight).

The digital download release appears on Poland’s Gate of Hypos. Cover artwork, wise, we get an illustration of a robot from the post-apocalyptic anime film series M.D Geist, which ran between the mid-80s and 90s. Though apparently the theme for this release is ‘Remember what to fight for.’. It can be found here 

The single thirty-minute track brings together a dense blend of constant low-end rolling, mid-range jittering ‘n’ juddering, and smaller/ crisper rattle ‘n’ roll. The whole thing has a rapidly bounding quality, and linking that into the theme here, you can picture building a building-sized robot rapidly walking across a futuristic landscape. 

The textured weave feels towering & all-consuming. Sure, there’s not a huge amount of creativity or unusually texturing going on here. But the whole thing has a focused density about it that is most appealing.

So if you're after all-consuming & robot leg crushing wall craft, Remember will most certainly appeal.
