KK Null — Gamma Ray Burster
Where a lot of his past work has been more long-formed album based pieces that took concentration and commitment for 60 plus minute listening this offers up his sound wears in a neater and tighter set of audio shots. His sound flutters through cinematic electronics, noise burns(through not that prevalent this time around), electronic and sourced recordings organised in rhythmic and mind bending constellations of sound. At times here it rather brought to mind a slightly denser and progressive take on some of the raster-noton label work.
A very approachable and highly consistent album from this highly prolific Japanese artist-all finished off with stunning artwork of sun breaking though rock reformations- this will appeal to fans of any type of creative electronic music.
