Kama Aina — Club Kama Aina

Club Kama Aina breaths a  wonderfully quirky, cutesy-electronic come organic air. Full to the brim with playful and tuneful tracks, that utilise strummed guitar work, keyboards, all manner of cheeky and clever rhythmic matter. All Making this one of this years sweet musically treats.

Coming across like a less island locked and  more world travelled version of early Múm- but with its own toy town to emotional take on sound and texture.Really if you enjoyed Múm before they used more vocals, you’ll love this, that said vocals do appear on one or two tracks here, but it’s not at the determent of structure, melody or atmosphere. There also a manner of interesting field records, shuffled into to the music in a very effective manner.

Mud cat starts off with a playful duelling banjos air, before slipping samba type guitar and beat shuffle, painted and dabbed with day glow- playful and melodic sntyh tinkling. It Could well be the soundtrack to some strange foreign cartoon, were the odd shaped characters - dance and swirling though psychedelic colours. Wedding song finds warming melodic strolling organ, weaved by picked guitar- really breathing a pretty free and easy air, making one feel great about life in general.

A really sugary tasting and heart-warming audio collection of tracks. That will have you smiling widely, while shuffling your feet along to the rhythmic adventures. But also has some more atmospheric and down turned cinematic moments, to drift off to moodier climbs.Though hardly the most original album, it’s highly enjoyable.
