Fixture for Toxins — Thernodies for Labour
I think the main problem comes with this project trying to step outside of their rewarding if fairly one dimensional brutal mix of industrial tone, zero rock, noise, slamming feedback fuzzed beats and muffled vocals. Attempts at varying sound in any project have to be admired, but sadly just about all of these attempts fall flat on their face because the project just don’t have the musical or sonic ability to pull it off leaving it sounding amateurish or like teen age buddies messing around in their bedroom. Sure there are a few of the seven tracks on offer here that strife towards the greatness of The Night Hoovers over Us Again and nearly get there, but sadly fall at the last post due to amateurish jarrings
I really tried to like this having enjoyed The Night Hoovers over Us Again so much- but the more I tried to like it the more its glaring faults, slap-dash playing and amateurish air became clear to my ears.
