Evil Madness — Demoni Paradiso
We go from the un-appealing opening ambient synth drone rise to of La Casa Di Satana; which just sounds so clichéd and bland and lacks any of the atmosphere that it’s clearly trying to make. To the 80’s keyboard pre-set drums of Numeri Fortunati with haphazard and wavering keyboard playing which at times barely holds together. To the truly pained unfold ‘n’ irritating synth two finger prods of the 17 minute Straniero Nella Mia Casa; which at first sounds like a bad slowed down 80’s racing video game theme tune. Then mid-way it slips into dull muffled synth drone ’n’ settle with lame pitter-patter of distant wonky key taps; which I guess is trying to sound eerier and haunted but just end of grating and very boring. Really I don’t think any of the tracks here rise above the bland, amateurish or predictable.
Demoni Paradiso is the audio equivalent of a bland straight to video 80’s horror film; the cast is wooden and talentless, the plot’s a rehash of others ideas executed badly, there’s little or no gory or shocks & it just seems to drags on and on.
