Astro is Hiroshi Hansegawa’s  (C.C.C.C, solo work, ect) noisy, spacey and psychedelic drone project. And with The echo from the Purple dawn he offers up three planet sized  shifting drone nirvanas to get lost in.

Hasegawa users an arsenal of oscillators, ring modulators and manipulated field recordings to building these vast slowly shifting and involving drone expansive, that  really do pull you in and make you at one with the sound. And through this is drone music it’s highly active and often complex in it’s make-up with Hasegawa skilful drifting into new elements and sound sheens. Going from drifting banks of building pulse waves that darting with smaller and mischievous spacey tones, to heavey psychedelic tone weighing downs, to alien like operation caustic and drilling noise drones.

The echo from the Purple dawn is a skilfully homed collection of eventful and rewarding drone craft that's guaranteed to whiz your imagination off to vast shifting constellations and strange and often violent worlds.
