Aberdeen AbattoirOnly Pain Remains True

[Stemms Audio — 2026]

Only Pain Remains True is a thirty-minute slice of crudely caustic 'n' jaggedly jarring walled noise nastiness from this new anonymous project.

This is seemingly Aberdeen Abattoir's second release- it’s apparently US-based, but other than that, nothing else is known about it. This is a digital release that appears on Cincinnati, Ohio Stemms Audio. It can be found/ downloaded here

The single track comes in at thirty minutes and forty two seconds. The ‘wall’ is built around a blend of a crudely juddering hack and a constantly streaming crusty/ sludgy flow. The whole thing feels both dusty and decaying in its attack, with images of run-down food processing belts, steadily spewing out offal and stinking meat onto greyed, crackled floors lit by slowly swinging/ on & off tube lights

It’s a fairly simple/no-nonsense blend of textures- but the way they are presented/ fed out, really gives the whole thing a very macabre-yet- oddly appealing air. I could easily have played this track for another half-an-hour, though I guess you could loop the track.

If you like your wall noise very nasty & grim, then Only Pain Remains True will most certainly appeal. And I look forward to hearing what Aberdeen Abattoir serves up to us next.
