| Kylie Minoise, the solo noise project of artist/musician Lea Cummings, has released a number of compilations, splits, and full-lengths under his label, Korovox Sound. After noticing Mind Flare Media releases by the bands MAAAA and Torturing Nurse, he sent his demo, which was later accepted in part along with several new tracks for his latest full-length release, DIE YUPPIE SCUM! The album opens with a harsh noise attack similar to earlier releases by Cummings, which suddenly leads into a series of 13 harsh electro noise pop soundscapes featuring addictive synth hooks, overloaded beats, atmospheric vocals, progressive layering, live drums, effects-ridden ambient guitars, and plenty of weirdness. The artwork was done by Lea himself, featuring an eccentric usage of colors and bizarre animal figures. The album is being released with a special T-shirt utilizing the art of the front cover of the CD, which is only available for a limited time. Preordering lasts until February 14th, and after this the shirt will no longer be produced. | This year Belgium's avantgarde mavericks celebrate the tenth anniversary of the annual (K-RAA-K)³ Festival. | VOIVOD guitarist Denis "Piggy" D'Amour passed away Friday night (August 26) at approximately 11:45 p.m. due to complications from advanced colon cancer — so advanced that the disease had spread to his liver. D'Amour slipped into a coma Thursday night and died less than 24 hours later in the palliative care unit of a Montreal hospital, surrounded by family and friends. He was 45 years old. |

| Check this friends, Blabbermouth is reporting: Daniel Cardoso (ex-Sirius) and Kristoffer G. Rygg (Ulver, ex-Arcturus), plus a few "noble assistants", have been writing music and conspiring theories for Sindrome, a heavy rock project "with experimental edges, alternative feeling and a strong visual cinematic component", according to a press release. The group's debut album, A Killer View, is currently in its final recording stages and is expected to be debuted this fall. Label negotiations are already in process, but the band will wait for the end of the recording process to officially ink a record deal. According to the press release, A Killer View "explores and exposes mind distortion, insanity, perversion, dementia, the motivations and visions of a serial killer, and the patterns of the mind".
